“Quran and Morality” Theme of Iranian Scholar’s Speech in Germany

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Hakimeh Dabiran, an eminent Iranian researcher and scholar, presented speeches on Quran and morality in Berlin and Hamburg, Germany.


According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, she delivered the speeches at a forum titled "Family, Raising Children, and Iranian Values and Wisdoms”, which was organized by the Iranian Cultural Center in Germany.

A group of Iranians residing in Germany, Iranian teachers, students, as well as the teachers of Iranian schools in Berlin and Hamburg participated in the forum.

The academic figure discussed the role of family in the development of society, mutual rights of parents and children, mysticism; a medium for the convergence in the contemporary world, the spiritual and mystical aspect of the life of Annemarie Schimmel (German orientalist and scholar who wrote extensively on Islam and mysticism), spirituality for all, Quran and its importance in morality, the use of Quranic wisdom in global peace and strengthening and continuation of Iran-Germany cultural relations.

She included Quranic verses, hadiths and Iranian wisdom, poetries and Persian proverbs in her speech and made references to the rich Persian literature and heritage of great poets like Sa’di, Hafiz, Ferdowsi, and others.
