Taziyeh Performance in Tehran Park
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Taziyeh performance featuring the martyrdom of Hurr ibn Yazid bin Riyahi is being held in Tehran’s Ab-o-Atash (Water-and-Fire) Park from October 5 to 14.
Hurr was one of the companions of Imam Hussein (AS) who was martyred on the day of Ashura in the 680 Battle of Karbala.
Taziyeh is a kind of passion play telling the story of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions in Karbala.
