UK Seminar to Discuss Imam Khomeini’s (RA) Legacy

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Islamic Center of England in London will hold an online seminar titled “Legacy of Imam Khomeini (RA)” on June 3 marking the demise anniversary of the late founder of the Islamic Republic.

 

Starting at 7 p.m. local time, the program will include a documentary featuring the life of Imam Khomeini (RA), and the perspective of researches in the West about his character.

Speeches by Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Hashem Mousawi, director of the center, and Sa’eed Shahabi, an eminent Bahraini activist, about the legacy of the late leader of the Islamic Revolution will be other parts of the program.

It will be broadcast on Facebook, Youtube, Hedayat TV, and Ahl-ul-Bayt TV.

Ayatollah Ruhollah Mousavi Khomeini, better known as Imam Khomeini, engineered Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, which led to the overthrow of the US-backed Shah of Iran.

Imam Khomeini passed away on June 3, 1989, at the age of 87.
