Around 255k People Visit Imam Reza Shrine Museums in 9 months

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Despite strict coronavirus restrictions, around 255 thousand Iranian and foreign people have visited different treasuries of Imam Reza holy shrine’s museums since last March.

The figure was revealed by Mahdi Gheysarinik, deputy head of Organization of Libraries, Museums and Documents of Astan Quds Razavi. 

Introducing June and November as two months with highest number of visitors, Gheysarinik stressed: “Over 54 thousand Iranian and foreign visitors have paid a visit to the museums of AQR only in November”.

He referred to the organization’s increasing number of visitors, reiterating “The central museum with 11 independent treasuries and the carpet museum with around 235 thousand visitors were at the top in having highest number of visitors”.

Gheysarinik pointed to the special attention of foreign pilgrims and tourists to AQR museums and said that two thousand and 746 foreign visitors have visited the complex in last eight months.

As the biggest museum complex in the country, Museum of Astan Quds Razavi at Imam Reza holy shrine has provided a safe place for the visitors by fully observing health protocols.
