Weekly Quranic Circle underway at Al-Kadhimiya Shrines

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Astan (custodianship) of Al-Kadhimiya holy shrines is holding weekly Quranic circles at the mausoleum.

 

Entitled ‘heavenly songs’, the sessions are being held every Saturday with participation of the Astan’s officials, Quran experts and masters, and a host of pilgrims, Qafqn.org website reported.

This week’s program was held with performance by Iraqi qaris Ahmed Al-Bahadli and Ali Al-Saadi.

The program includes a question and answer section. Sheikh Emad al-Kadhimi addressed the event this Saturday, talking about features of the Holy Quran.

At the end of the program this week, awards were offered to winners of the question and answer section as well as qaris who had participated in the event.

The event is being stage after Isha prayers.

The Kadhimiya shrine is located in the Kadhimayn suburb of Baghdad, Iraq. It contains the tombs of the seventh and ninth Shia Imams, Imam Musa Kadhim (AS) and Imam Jawad (AS).
