TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 30th International Holy Quran Exhibition will be inaugurated on April 1, which falls on the 10th day of Ramadan 1444, at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla (prayer hall).

According to a statement by organizers, the inauguration will start at 5:00 PM local time. Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili is set to address the event.

Various programs have been scheduled for the opening ceremony.

The exhibition will run until April 15 and hosts visitors from 5 PM to 1 AM.

“I Read You” is the motto of this year’s exhibition, which highlights the importance of continually reading the Holy Quran.

The Tehran International Quran Exhibition is annually organized by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan, with the aim of promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.

It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.

The kids' section and the “garden of verses” are among the main part of this year’s fair and have been expanded threefold compared to previous editions. Various programs have also been planned for the women and girls section.

22 countries have expressed readiness to participate in the international section. Furthermore, culture and Awqaf ministers from seven countries are set to visit the event.

"Shining homes" is another section of the fair that seeks to revive traditional circles for the Holy Quran recitation and encourage people to learn to leave with the Holy Quran.

According to estimates, up to 5,000 simple Iftar packages will be distributed among visitors. The number is expected to hit 15,000 on Qadr nights.
