Hussein Hemmati, a member of the Quran and Etrat Center of the ministry told IQNA that the organization of the festival was discussed in a webinar meeting attended by cultural directors and Quran experts and instructors of medical sciences universities.
June 19 is the deadline for the universities to announce their representatives in the categories of the competition.
The preliminary stage of the contest will start in September in the northern city of Sari.
Competitions in Quranic concepts will be held in October and the national stage will be held in November.
More than 82,000 Health Ministry staff, medical university instructors and students took part in the Quranic event last year.
