Lebanese Memorizer Hails Hezbollah’s Supports for Quranic Activities in Lebanon
Mahmoud al-Kufri, who is memorizer of the entire Quran and also a top Lebanese Quran reciter, told IQNA that the “Seyyed Abbas Al-Mousawi” Quran Award is annually organized for students of the country by the Holy Quran Society and Association of Islamic Teachings which are affiliated to Hezbollah.
Quran memorization, recitation and Tafseer are the categories of the competition, said al-Kufri, the winner of the second title in the Quran memorization category of the 5th International Quran Competition of Muslim students.
He said that Quranic institutes in Lebanon plan special Quranic programs for children with the aim of raising a generation based on the teachings of the Divine Book.
Besides courses on Quran memorization, he said, the institutes also hold classes on Tajweed principles and interpretation of the Holy Quran’s verses for different age groups.
Scientific miracle of the Quran is another theme discussed in the courses, the Lebanese Quran activist added.
Referring to the participation of Lebanese women in Quranic activities, al-Kufri noted that the Quranic institutes have special programs for women of the country to get them more acquainted with the teachings of the Quran and the important role of the Holy Book in their life.
