Supreme Leader Communicates Environment Policies
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Tuesday communicated the general policies on environment.
In a letter to the heads of the three branches of power, and in line with Article 110 of Iran’s Constitution, Ayatollah Khamenei outlines the country’s environmental policies, developed in consultation with the Expediency Council.
These policies include creation of an integrated national environment system, preventing the spread of pollutions and the destruction of environment, developing the green economy based on clean energies, organic agricultural products and management of wastewater, and confronting environmental threats.
There is also a call for forming and enhancing regional institutions for combatting dust and air and water pollution and developing environment diplomacy at the national and international levels.
