There are many doubts and questions about manmade laws that cause people to lose enthusiasm and motivation. It is especially so because one would not be rewarded for acting upon these laws but would be immediately punished for violating them.
This is unlike divine laws because just as violating them brings about punishment, acting upon them would bring about rewards. In the school of prophets, rewards have been promised even for the steps one takes on the path of the goal.
Hence, one should bear in mind that a legislator who introduces laws for human life should have the following characteristics:
1- Should have comprehensive knowledge about all needs of human beings.
2- Should have mercy and compassion toward human beings.
3- Should have full justice and avoid prioritizing his own desires over the truth.
Needless to say, such a legislator is none but God whose messages and guidance reaches people via prophets. The messengers of God receive divine messages and convey them to people.
