The ministry said the programs, which include Quranic circles, will be organized in mosques across the country.
They are held at the request of people as a response to Quran desecrations in Sweden, it added, El-Balad News reported.
The plan will start on Friday, July 23, after Friday prayers, at grand mosques of cities, it noted.
The ministry said that good reception of Quran recitation circles held on July 14 prompted it to plan organizing more such events.
Last Friday, mosques in Egypt hosted 2,451 Quranic circles in different cities of Egypt, it added.
In late June, an extremist burned a Quran outside the Stockholm Central Mosque with police protection.
He timed his offensive act to match Eid al Adha, a major Muslim festival that is celebrated by followers of Islam around the world.
The police had granted him a permit based on free-speech rights, but they later announced that they had started an inquiry into “agitation.”
The act of disrespect provoked anger and condemnation from many Islamic countries, such as Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Palestine, Morocco, Iraq, Pakistan, Senegal, Morocco, and Mauritania.
