Iran Opens Quranic Exhibition in Bangkok

IQNA – An exhibition featuring Quranic artworks and products from Iran has been inaugurated in the Thai capital of Bangkok.

 

The Quran exhibition opened in a ceremony attended by a number of Iranian and Thai officials including Iranian Ambassador to Thailand Seyyed Reza Nobakhti, Iranian cultural attaché in Thailand Mehdi Zare, and Quran and Etrat Deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Alireza Moaf.

At the outset of the event, Mohammad Mehdi Azizzadeh, an official with the Iranian Culture Ministry, provided a brief description of artworks, Quranic and cultural products, and books offered in the exhibition.

Also addressing the event, Phonpoom Vipattipumiprates, Thailand’s Vice Minister of Culture, praised Iran’s “rich” culture, noting that the two countries have had extensive cultural cooperation since start of diplomatic ties in 1955.

The event, which features Iranian Quranic contemporary art, will help further boost cultural-Islamic cooperation between the two states, he said.

Moaf also addressed the event, noting that the exhibition can be expanded in other forms in case of Thailand’s readiness.

The exhibition will wrap up on February 11, 2024.
