TEHRAN (IQNA) – There are different stages in one’s life each of which has its own features given one’s age and conditions. According to Surah Al-Hadid of the Holy Quran, man’s life has five stages.

Surah Al-Hadid

Al-Hadid is the 57th chapter of the Quran that has 29 verses and is in the 27th Juz. It is Madani and the 94th Surah revealed to the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

The name of the Surah comes from the word Hadid, which means iron, in verse 25.

Monotheism, God’s attributes, greatness of the Quran, and the conditions of believers and disbelievers on the Resurrection Day are among the issues discussed in this Surah.

It also talks about creation in six days as well as the stories of some prophets like Noah (AS) and Abraham (AS) and how Jesus (AS) reached prophethood and how the Bible was revealed.

The starting verses are about monotheism and God’s attributes, enumerating some 20 attributes of God.

It then says God causes the night to enter into the day and the day to enter into the night and how the length of the day and night changes in different seasons, which shows the power of God and His rule on the earth and in heavens.

Greatness of the Quran and its features, the situation of the two groups of believers and disbelievers on the Day of Judgment and the fate of people who lived before and did not believe in God are also among subjects mentioned in Surah Al-Hadid.

The Surah divides the life of man into five stages: playing, amusement, adornment, boastfulness, and rivalry for greater riches and children. These features are compatible with stages of life in different ages.

A major part of the Surah is about being generous on the path of God and how worthless worldly properties are. It also refers to upholding social justice as a major objective of the messengers of God.

Surah Al-Hadid criticizes social seclusion and monasticism and says God did not prescribe it.
